Programs from Playgroup to Grade 1
BBMS offers a progression of early learning programs. The information below gives parents a starting point; contact the school for current availability, timings and admission details.
Playgroup
Age: 2–3
Early learning through social interaction, motor activities, sensory play and age-appropriate routines. The goal at this stage is to help children become comfortable learning and participating with others.
Montessori
Age: 3–5
Hands-on practical learning, opportunities for independence and activities that support early thinking and confidence. The Montessori stage builds on children's natural curiosity.
Grade 1
Age: 6
A stronger academic foundation in reading, writing and mathematics, while continuing to develop the routines, confidence and learning habits needed for school.
Start with your child's age and current stage
Program placement can depend on the child's age, development and the school's current admission arrangements. If you are unsure which program applies, contact BBMS rather than relying on age alone.
For parents of younger children
Ask about the Playgroup environment, daily routines, social development and how children are introduced to structured learning.
For children moving toward formal school
Ask how the Montessori and Grade 1 stages support independence and foundational literacy and numeracy.
